TERMS & CONDITIONS:
ONLY ANIMALS IN GOOD HEALTH WILL BE ACCECPTED UNLESS AN ONGOING ILLNESS HAS BEEN DISCUSSED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.
FEES:
Fees are payable for every day that accommodation is booked. Fees will still be charged for animals arriving late or leaving early. Changes to a booking must be made at least 14 days prior to the arrival date otherwise all days booked will have to be paid in full.
CONFIRMATION BOOKING DEPOSIT:
- A non-refundable booking fee of 50% is required to secure a booking. Non payment of the booking fee will result in cancellation of the booking.
- Why is the booking fee non-refundable? The booking fee is a commitment from both parties to secure the accommodation on the dates you require. We cannot always fill space after a cancellation even in peak season which can be a significant loss of income to a small business. The accommodation is booked for your pets for those dates.
CANCELLATIONS & NO SHOWS:
If you cancel with less than 14 days’ notice or do not show up for, drop off you will be invoiced for the full amount outstanding on the booking. Failure to pay may result in legal action being taken to recover the loss of earnings.
MINIMUM STAY:
- Minimum stay is 3 calendar days.
- Why 3 calendar Days? Cleaning and disinfecting the accommodation before and after the pet’s stay is time consuming, we may also need to buy in fresh food or specialist bedding for your pet.
- Example a 1-night stay for a single guinea pig at £6.50 is just not cost effective given the time taken to prepare for the stay.
- Where a stay is requested for less than 3 nights a surcharge will be added equal to the 3-night stay.
LAPSED VACCINES :
- Should a customer arrive on the day of boarding with insufficient or lapsed vaccinations, and Posh Paws must refuse boarding, the customer will still be charged the full balance of the boarding fee.
- If a customer contacts Posh paws less than 14 days prior to boarding and advises us that the rabbits’ vaccinations are not in place Posh Paws will charge the full outstanding balance of the boarding fee.
VACCINATIONS (RABBITS) & HEALTH:
- ALL rabbits booked in for boarding must have proof of vaccination, certificates showing dates of current and previous Nobivac, and/or Filavac/Eravac vaccines. Boosters must be given every 12 months for Nobivac Myxo RHD PLUS or Nobivac Myxo RHD, Filavac and Eravac.
- As most vets are now vaccinating with Nobivac Myxo RHD PLUS please allow 21 DAYS between the vaccine and the start of boarding for immunity to build up.
- It is also advised that all pets are wormed, flea and mite treated 14 days before arrival.
HEALTH CONDITIONS:
- If your pet is on medication for a non-contagious medical condition, please ensure you supply sufficient medication for the duration of your pets stay.
- The owner must confirm that to the best of their knowledge they have declared all known health issues to Posh Paws; however should their pet become ill whilst in our care, they authorise Posh Paws to transport the animal to a vet and approve any required emergency treatment.
- The owner agrees to reimburse Posh Paws for any additional costs incurred when they collect their pet. Please note our insurance policy does not cover us for pre-existing conditions.
- Planned surgery for neutering, dentals etc must be carried out a minimum of 14 days prior to boarding and the pet given a health check from the vet to ensure there are no post operative complications.
- Sadly, small animals & birds can pass away with very little warning, and it can happen rapidly after the first sign of illness. In the unlikely event that your pet passes away whilst in our care we will contact you immediately and follow your wishes.
- Posh Paws reserves the right to refuse animals should they appear to be in poor health on arrival e.g. runny eyes, nose, or dirty bottoms as we do not want to risk any other animal’s health by accepting a sick animal into boarding.
- Your pets will have exclusive use of a hutch for their entire stay so Posh Paws takes no responsibility for any pet pregnancy. All our animals are kept separate unless otherwise stated by you that they are bonded.
ABANDONMENT:
- Should you fail to return to collect your pet, and we are unable to contact either you or your emergency contact within 7 working days we will seek to re-home your pet and invoice you for any costs incurred in this process.
- Animals are boarded at the sole risk of the owner and while every care will be taken, Posh Paws shall not be liable for the loss, illness, injury or death of any animal in our care.
- Small animals (Hamsters/Gerbils etc) should be brought in their own cages with food/ bedding to prevent disruption to their diet.
- Unfortunately, we cannot board ferrets & birds at this time.

By paying your deposit and signing your booking form and securing your booking you are agreeing to all Posh Paws Terms and conditions.
